Privacy Policy for RedAI Browser Extension

1. Overview

RedAI does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data.

All processing performed by the Extension occurs entirely on your device, inside your browser.

We do not operate any remote servers and do not send any captured information outside your machine.

2. Information the Extension Can Access

To provide debugging and API documentation features, the Extension may access:

• Network requests and responses (headers, bodies, URLs)

• Console logs and runtime events

• Cookies associated with the active tab (when required for accurate request capture)

• Active tab information such as URL and tab ID

 This data is processed locally and never leaves your device.

The Extension does not collect:

• Personal identity information

• Login credentials

• Browsing history

• Analytics or usage metrics

• Any data for advertising or profiling

3. How Data Is Handled

All captured data is:

• Processed locally inside your browser

• Stored only in memory during your current session

• Immediately discarded when the tab or browser is closed

• Exported only if you explicitly download a HAR/Swagger file

We do not store, retain, or transmit any of this data.

4. Permissions We Use and Why

RedAI requires certain browser permissions strictly to provide developer tooling functionality.

debugger

Used to temporarily inspect network activity and console logs on a tab only after you grant access.

No data is sent anywhere, and the permission is activated only during the debugging session.

activeTab

Allows the Extension to run only on the tab you choose.

It ensures RedAI cannot access any website unless you manually activate it.

tabs

Used only to identify the current tab when capturing requests.

cookies

Used to read cookies only for the active site to help produce complete API request data.

Cookies are not stored or transmitted.

downloads

Used solely to save HAR/Swagger files to your device when you choose to download them.

Optional Host Permissions

RedAI requests access to specific sites only when you choose to enable it.

You can revoke these permissions at any time.

5. Security

• RedAI does not communicate with any external servers.

• No data ever leaves your computer.

• All captured information remains under your full control.

• The extension uses the minimum permissions required for developer tooling.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

• No data is saved between sessions.

• All captured data exists only temporarily in memory.

• Uninstalling the Extension removes all local data and configuration.

7. Updates to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy to reflect improvements or compliance requirements.
